In the morning slot our last curriculum training took place, which was a bit pity.. because we all felt not really „ready“ for grading. The usual feeling upfront of a grading, probably ;-)
But it was closed with a nice recap drill by Israel Cohen, which consisted of us running between two endpoints of a line, where a partner stood, and attacked/worked with us according to the current time to the drill.
First run (1min): unarmed attacks (punches, chokes, headlocks)
Intermission (30sec): „One-Eighties“
Second run(1min): adding a pad for kicks/punches in advance
Intermission (30sec): „One-Eighties“
Third run (1min): adding of knife threats & stabs (straight/curved)
Intermission (30sec): „One-Eighties“
Fourth run: (1min): adding of stick attacks (baseball swing/ 1- or 2handed overhead swing)
The afternoon slot started with a lecture by Megan Cohen Kaddouch in regard to the „Timeline of Krav Maga“, which was followed afterwards with some recapitulation training under lead of Avi Moyal, going through several „families“ of techniques. Meaning, we we’re attacked by all sorts of headlocks, or chokes from all directions, etc at a time and tried to defend ourselves. After this part, we had a bit of time left for refresh training session (felt like 45min…) for all unclear/earlier level tech in our respective groups.
At the end of the day Avi gave us a „gun threat from behind“ solution „straight from the souce“. Central point: you go only towards a point you can clearly see ;-)

In the evening we held a short feedback session, e.g. what did the students expect, what did we like, what not, what could be improved. In generality the P camp got seen as a bit „short“ ;-)
