My last day in Tel Aviv & Israel. After having breakfast i start to walk around again, this time more in the north-eastern direction of my hotel.
An artwork on the Jitzchak-Rabin-Square. Kinda peaceful, but about two minutes later loudspeakers were blaring, and policemen in flak vests were hushing the people from the right side of the sqaure and putting up some barrier tape. Looks like some forgotten bag in an offgoing street had triggered official paranoia. After about ten minutes the situation cleared and everything was packed away again.
The spot were Jitzchak Rabin was assassinated.
After spending about two hours laying n the beach and having dinner at a „mexican“ bar&restaurant, i was browsing facebook and discovered that John Freeman, IKMF Director Germany had arrived prior to Expert Crash Camp and was nearby. We managed to meet at his bar, drank some guiness and walked the area a bit.
End of the day? Packing my bag for flying back tomorrow..
