Day 1

Day 1 started at about 08:30 with a welcome and introductional lecture by Avi Moyal, followed by a group warm-up in the old training hall. Picture by Emmit Alexis Reza After the warmup we could switch into the newly built training hall and got seperated into groups according to our current practitioner level, and begun with curriculum training for the rest of the day. Together with seven others i had the fun of being selected / trained / „liked“ by … Weiterlesen

Some observations of the Tel Aviv traffic

I’ve been just walking around for about two hours and sitting at the window of a streetside restaurant and made some observations i want to share: The traffic behaviour is (in my opinion) kinda regular mediterranean. Quite fast, traffic regulations seem more like recommendations, a lot of scooters and small motorcycles. But! Many bicycles are in use, and a lot of these are a) foldable and b) electrified! And i even just saw some sort of electro-longboard… Back home eBicycles … Weiterlesen

Shalom Israel

The first thing i could see after leaving the plane via passenger bridge: this mural around the lift at the end of the bridge :-) This is the big entrance ramp before passport resp. immigration control and obviously some really nice type of architecture ;-) I’m at the hotel in Tel Aviv now for this night, before heading north to Cesaerea and the camp tomorrow. I must admit i’m a bit annoyed of the El Al security back in Frankfurt … Weiterlesen

Never experienced Frankfurt airport this quiet. Okay, usually i fly via terminal A or B and not C, but still… btw, blogging via Smartphone is a bit of PITA. Need to check if there is a specialized app for using WordPress…

You’re going to be fine..!“ (but still…)

„I packed my bag and i put into it…“

One week and a day plus about five hours of flight remaining

As i have the talent of saying.. nope, shouting.. „YES!“ in the „wrong“ moments, i have committed myself to blog a bit about my upcoming trip to the IKMF Practitioners Crash Camp in Israel… damn. What’s the crash camp, you’re asking? To quote „ye olde advertisement“: „Crash training is a unique experience providing participants an opportunity to train with the world’s top Krav Maga experts among which; Avi Moyal, IKMF chairman and head instructor, Amnon Darsa, head of testing committee, … Weiterlesen
